Without a great crew we are nothing

The crew are the heart & soul of the party

the feeling we all create in the build up to the weekend is the vibe that welcomes our guests - It's because we form such a close crew that our friends are able to dive into such a great atmosphere . . .

Thank You for being part of it!

Arrival at Eridge

Please try to arrive before dark as there will be no movement of vehicles allowed onsite after darkness has fallen.

Crew camping

Everyone can camp everywhere. Our marked areas are more guidelines than rules. If you don't need your car please move it to the car park after you've dropped off your stuff. You may camp with your car BUT: Only if you agree not to move it until it's time to leave. Make sure access and emergency routes are kept clear

Crew brew

Crew Brew is ONLY for those who are actually working!!

crew brew will be running from Wednesday evening until the following Wednesday morning. We are doing things differently from the way we organised things at Kimberley. Over half the party are crew or crew guests - this makes for a great vibe - but we can't afford to feed you all! Bring your own food and cooking facilities so that you don't need to rely on crew brew.

Except for security crew brew is not free. However we are subsidising the cost of crew brew - here's what we've arranged:

  • £2 for breakfast
  • £4 for lunch or dinner
  • Free tea & Coffee if you bring your own cup (£1 if you don't)

Crew Kids

Please would you ensure that anyone coming with your crew is aware that, if they are bringing any under 18 year olds, they have to be the parent or court appointed guardian of the children. Children without their parent will not be allowed on site.

At least one of the parents must also be properly registered on the House of Honey website where they can register their children in their records and buy them a kids crew ticket at £5 per child. Failure to do this will mean they will be paying full kids price at the gate. Please make sure that children are registered with their tickets paid for by Tuesday 3rd July

BANDS

Band parking

There is an artist parking area just beyond the Phoenix stage but if it's more convenient use the general car park - or park by your camp if you have precious kit.

Getting to the stage

getting to the stage involves a careful drive through the campsite past Purple Camping and across the front of the lake. Backstage parking is VERY limited. If possible choose one vehicle to transport your stuff to the stage. Take the minimum amount of vehicles and remove them back to the car park as soon as possible.

Artist liaison

Mackie is your man. He's in charge of of artist liaison and stage management for the Silver Stage. He's VERY competent and a great guy to deal with. When you've arrived on site send someone to check in with artist liaison. They'll make a note of your stage requirements and explain about getting on and off stage. Please bring stage plans and channel lists with you - or fill in one of our blank forms

Back Line

On the Silver Stage we have a basic back-line set up of Guitar amp, bass amp and drum kit.

Kit

We have top class engineers and the latest desks and d&b sound systems - and we have all the monitoring, mics, stands, DIs that you could wish for.

Drinks and food for Bands

There will be beers and soft drinks in the band tent backstage. Your band leader or coordinator will need to pick-up tokens for food from the site office. Each band member will get 5 tokens. Tokens give you 25% off food anywhere on site (4 tokens + 1 free meal)

Getting on stage

arrive for your set 30 minutes early and get prepped.

Sound checks, set length, encores

the times shown on the programme are the total time allocated to your act. that includes getting on, line-checking, performance, encore - and getting off. please help us to help you get the longest possible performance time. We will not allow ANY overruns.

TRADERS & CATERERS

Documents

If you have not sent your insurance documents and food safety certificates, make sure you have them available on site

Site Inspection

On Friday July 6th at 10am we will have a site inspection by Wealden Council. This will include their Health & Safety people, the Police, and Environmental Health. Please ensure that any visible electrics have current PAT test certification, and that gas bottles are properly stored (they should be separate and locked)and fire extinguishers are up to date (If any of these things are not possible, please ensure that the offending items are not visible). The council may also ask to see your insurance documents.

Attendance

We will have approx 1500 Givers onsite. Tickets will be available on the door.

Music

Music must be at ambient levels in your location (ask Daniel from production if in doubt). NO pumping sound systems will be allowed! We will need to be very strict on this because of the promises we have made to the Estate and to the Council.

Caterers Wristbands

We will have 2 wristbands relating to the Caterers. Gold (Food and Drink)- only about 10 of these will be given out and only to KEY organisers and owners of the land. Please allow them free food and drink (within reason! - if you have a problem speak to Ben). Yellow Rip tag bands (Food ONLY)- These will be used for our hard working crew and some performers. Each rip tag should allow the bearer a 25% discount on their meal (please collect these to settle up with Ben later and so that they are not reused). If they wish to use up 4 tags on one meal then the meal is free (ie 4 tags =100%).

Finances

Please come to the site office on Monday morning to sort out finances before you leave. Ask for Bee or Angela

Rubbish

There will be wheelie rubbish bins around the site. Sat and Sunday @9AM please ensure that any bins you have been using (or rubbish in bin bags) are on the access road as the council will be coming through to empty them. If you have any large rubbish please ensure that it gets to one of the Skips (locations are on the site map). Please note that the skip behind the Wizard's Hat is for the sole use of the bar/catering areas (ie traders, etc. please use one of the other 3 skips!)

Leave No Trace!

Eridge Park belongs to the Deer, Bunnies and Cattle for the other 359 days of the years so PLEASE will you ensure that your stall area is as clean as you found it when you pack up to go - leave no trace!

XXX Bee

In praise of the crew - a poem by Doris the New Age Guru

LIGHT EXPLOSION !

'Ibiza came to Norfolk, G strings, sizzle tops, Ultraviolet replaces farms and local crops, Tipis and old camper vans, little pop-up tent, Lilies that bedecked the cellar with their Heaven scent, Weather hot then cloudy, changing of the clime, And we're only living here in the present time, Trance was pounding through the darkness, fireworks blew the roof, A bunny on a pair of stilts tottered round aloof, In a huddle fluorescently, shining like a star, We all formed a heart to transmit our rays afar, Sending love around the world, abundance in our cup, People danced throughout the night to help them all wake up. Meanwhile I've been dancing in me own peculiar way, With a red nose and a duster, I just came to say, A life without pretension, artifice and mask Is what I'm really seeking, so of you I ask, While yer up there decorating mansions in the sky, Or too busy with some funny pill that gets you high, Please remember all the humble folk at crack of dawn, Who must get up to clean the lav in spite of how they yawn, Longing for a deeper sleep, the quiet space inside, Where in stillness there is no more need to ever hide, All the ones who toil and sweat, on their feet all day, So the rest of you can just relax to laugh and play, Since we're all connected, both the light and dark, Keep yer heart exploding now we've lit the spark !'

Luv doris, the new age guru x
